The Le Comte Award, named after the Delft native and art collector, is an annual distinction given to the most remarkable and aesthetically sound project. The prize recognizes innovative design, sustainable implementation, and the positive impact on the local community and environment.

Poortmeesters is located in Delft, a city rich in history and cultural heritage. The aim of the project is to give a contemporary interpretation to the historical gates that once marked the entrance to the city. Through this project, elements of Delft's architectural past are reused and reinterpreted in a modern context. It harks back to the past while also pointing towards the future.

We are immensely proud of this recognition and would like to sincerely thank Studio RAP and Vera Yanovshtchinsky Architects, as well as all partners involved in the project, for their visionary design and dedication. By utilizing traditional craftsmanship combined with the latest digital design and production techniques, a unique residential building has emerged.
