‘Utrecht, Heart of Health’ on shirts FC Utrecht

Starting this Sunday, the first team of FC Utrecht will be playing with the new regional profile, "Utrecht, Heart of Health," on the back of their red and white shirts. This initiative involves a number of major companies (including Ballast Nedam, Jaarbeurs, & Plus) from the region who are members of the Economic Board Utrecht network organization. The aim is to promote the Utrecht metropolitan area, with its 1.5 million inhabitants, as the region that contributes most to a healthier world. The shirt is part of a larger international regional positioning campaign.

Sharon Dijksma, Chairperson of the Economic Board Utrecht: “After the Stockholm region, we are the most competitive region in Europe. We aim to establish the Utrecht metropolitan area, with its businesses and academic institutions, nationally and internationally as the beating heart of a healthy society. We advocate that we are at the forefront of research, treatments, and creating a healthy living environment, both online and offline.”

Onno Dwars, CEO of Ballast Nedam Development: “With this kickoff, we give the region a recognizable identity when it comes to healthy living. Sport and feeling physically and mentally healthy go hand in hand. Therefore, it was natural for us to collaborate with Utrecht's most famous sports club.”

The Economic Board Utrecht aims to attract specific companies and institutions focused on a healthy society to Utrecht, to create educational opportunities and jobs, and to contribute to the prosperity and well-being of all residents of Utrecht.

‘Utrecht, Heart of Health’ will be featured on the shirts until the end of this soccer season.
